The Divine Encounter Retreat

I’m thrilled about the times we are living in; God is working wonders in our lives. When challenges arise, He reminds us to have faith. This past weekend, we attended a retreat called “Divine Encounter 2,” which delved deeper than the first. On the first night, we were reminded to remain connected to the vine, understanding that sometimes we must let go of what is good or bad for our growth. Although this process can be painful, when the Lord orchestrates it, He has significant plans in mind. I was reading from Ezekiel when God spoke to Ezekiel, saying, “Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their ways and deeds; to Me their way was like the uncleanness of a woman in her customary impurity. Therefore, I poured out my fury on them for the blood they had shed on the land, and for their idols with which they had defiled it.” (Ez. 36:17-18). This scripture reminded me that God must remove the impurities so that the purity of His work can flourish in the upcoming season. If you have been struggling or feel like you are enduring difficult times, know that God desires for you to fully walk in the purpose He has set for you, but the plans are His alone. When we make plans without God, we end up taking matters into our own hands instead of leaving them in God’s hands.

Returning to the retreat, on the second day, a speaker guided us on how our imagination has been influenced and how God desires for us to be complete, envisioning Jesus in our thoughts and during our moments of reflection. During this divine encounter, I envisioned the Father's chest with a red sash across it. Suddenly, I was no longer there but at the Sea of Galilee, observing Jesus' feet. Then, I transitioned to another scene, seeing myself as a young girl in the backyard, gazing at the sky in wonder at God's greatness. I returned to the Sea of Galilee, watching Jesus' feet walking on water with waves splashing around them. Sitting by the shore, I pulled my legs close, focusing on His feet. Again, I was a child on a swing, filled with awe for God. The speaker then asked, "What is Jesus giving you?" I saw the side of God's face, and with His hands extended, He placed Jesus' heart in mine, saying, "I give you Jesus’ heart," as Jesus knelt and kissed my forehead. When I opened my eyes, the Father instructed, "Gather my children, gather their hearts for Jesus." This encounter with Jesus was incredible. I had prepared for days and weeks, crying and seeking the Lord, hoping the women would experience an encounter, though uncertain of what Jesus would offer me. The women left feeling renewed. After enduring difficult times, renewal arrives, though not on our schedule but on God's, aligned with what benefits His kingdom. Today, spend time with Jesus in the most cherished and intimate manner. He wishes to fill you with His love and grant you a Divine Encounter.
