New Beginnings

Wow! Can you believe it's already the start of January? January is a month filled with change, including job transitions and various position shifts. During this month, you can set the course for the rest of the year. As we enter 2025, you can embark on this new decade with purpose. How do you begin your new journey of beginnings? Here are three ways that have helped me each year.

1. Seek God first at the beginning. Let Him reveal your purpose for the new year. He is so clear about your purpose if you take the time to seek Him.

2. Engage in praise and worship. This is an opportunity to enter the presence of the Lord, allowing Him to speak to you as you dedicate time to praise and give thanks.

3. Write. Write down what you hear and feel from the Lord.

Take this month to reflect on what He has told you in the past and move forward into the new.

Look at a few scriptures that will give you hope in the beginning;

Isaiah 43:18-19: "Don’t remember the prior things; don’t ponder ancient history. Look! I’m doing a new thing; now it sprouts up; don’t you recognize it? I’m making a way in the desert, paths in the wilderness."

Ephesians 1:3: “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.”

Psalm 34:1: “I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.”

1 Thessalonians 5:18: “In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
